Caroline Webb

Caroline's work reflects her particular delight in quiet detail, her understanding of traditional letterforms and her love of poetry, plants and landscape.  

For many years Caroline collaborated with poet Ian Hamilton Finlay, contributing numerous works to exhibitions, private collections and to his garden Stonypath. Recent work includes a marble Papal floor inscription for the entrance to Westminster Cathedral. Caroline enjoys carving fine lettering in wood as well as stone and slate. She is an elected member of the Art Workers' Guild, The Society of Designer Craftsmen, Letter Exchange and is on the Crafts Council Index.
