Gary Breeze

Gary set up his workshop in 1993. Although primarily a letter carver in stone and wood, his work is broad ranging, from coins as consultant for the Royal Mint, to RHS gold medal winning landscape designs.

His work on the Bali Bomb Memorial in London, and the Christ Church cloister fountain in Oxford, both included the re-landscaping of architecturally sensitive sites, and his numerous major commissions throughout the UK have helped to raise the profile of text and lettering as a public art-form for over 30 years. Memorials are an important part of the workshop’s output. Gary offers simple and elegant solutions, using materials and form to create contemporary memorials which are warm in character and mindful of their setting.
