This one-day workshop focuses on learning, improving and experimenting with various scripts, depending on your calligraphy experience or goals. Much of the tuition is on an individual basis, with groups of around eight people. This workshop is suitable for all levels, beginner to advanced.

  • You can also learn the popular ‘modern’ pointed-pen calligraphy

GAYNOR GOFFE -  trained in calligraphy, heraldry and illumination at Reigate School of Art and Design. She taught calligraphy at Roehampton Institute for 16 years, and on the HND course at Reigate School of Art and Design. Gaynor is a well-known calligrapher and teacher with over 35 years’ experience in calligraphy and teaching. She is an Honoured Fellow of the Calligraphy & Lettering Arts Society (CLAS) and the Society for Scribes and Illuminators.Gaynor has written Calligraphy Made Easy and co-written Calligraphy Step by Step.

Workshops will start prompt at 10.00am and finish at approximately 4pm. 

Tuition £75 per workshop - includes fresh tea, coffee and biscuits all day


Gaynor Goffe will tutor this one-day workshop for beginners and advanced calligraphers at the Lettering Arts Centre. Here, you’ll improve your calligraphy technique while exploring a range of scripts, from Roman to popular ‘modern’ pointed-pen calligraphy in a small-group setting.

All materials are provided, but please bring your own if preferred.
