Exhibitions and events

The Lettering Arts Trust is the voice of letter carving in this country. Our mission is to protect and promote the skill, artistry and knowledge that goes into letter design and carving.

We raise public interest through our engagement programme, including exhibitions, talks, our National Art & Memory Collection, workshops and other activities. This provides opportunities for a wider audience to learn about and participate in this age-old yet contemporary craft.

The Art & Memory Collection

The Art & Memory Collection is Trust’s national collection. Set up in 2008 as a permanent display of examples of the carvers’ art, it currently comprises over 60 works displayed at six locations around the country.
