Treath: Inspired by living in Cornwall, Treath stems from sitting on a windy coastal paths sketching the seascape and landscape, capturing the fleeting colours of the sea and patterns of newly ploughed fields, hedge-bank lanes and looking down on harbours.

Back in the studio I translate my sketchbook to a graphic images, often using the same tools; graphite, sketching pencils, brush and watercolour, playing with collage and adding text. For Treath [Cornish for beach] using wonderful Cornish beach names with an illustration of a oyster catcher.
