Helen Fraser
Chase your stars
1,000 x 300 x 50 mm
c.30 kg
“I asked my 7 year old daughter what she thought “Chase your stars” means.
She answered…
“Chase the thing you really like doing… chase the best thing!”
She is right. We all have stars to chase whatever age we are. Some shine brightly, whilst others are hidden by the clouds. Once we find the star we want to chase we should do so with an enduring passion.
So, to both my son and daughter, and anyone reading this who might need a little nudge in a different direction I say this…
Chase your stars.
It might just change your life.”
Produced for the Letters Unlimited Exhibition where each artist was invited to select a piece of stone from a Portland quarry to create a work that will showcase the possibilities of letter carving.
Helen Fraser is currently working alongside Pip Hall as part of the LAT Apprenticeship programme.
