Initially made for myself, this piece had its beginnings during the dark days of winter. I noted the wild flowers as they appeared in the hedgerows during my morning walks last year — longing for that final exultation of summer, SWALLOWS. The letterforms are inspired by Saxon examples and cut with vigour into an Indian Sandstone slab.
