Matthew Koplinski
Teach Peace
510 x 32 x 80 mm
30 kg
Portland Stone
“I feel strongly at this time that a message of peace should be put out to the world, thus is proposed a Teach Peace carving in a piece of Portland that I have already cleaned up and set out, please see attached photos. The piece is inspired by Banksy and his famous shredding of one of his pieces at action, so I wanted to create an unshreddable Banksy. The design is also inspired by the Peace movement CND from my youth, who campaigned against nuclear weapons in the UK. “
Original Artwork Produced for the Letters Unlimited Exhibition, 2026; where each artist was invited to select a piece of stone from a Portland quarry to create a work that will showcase the possibilities of letter carving. Matthew Koplinski is a former Journeyman at LAT.
