Jane Raven gained her Diploma in Decorate Arts from City and Guilds of London Art School in 1998. She moved to Edinburgh to establish her studio making functional artwork in glassware. In 2000, she pursued her love of lettering and learnt how to cut letters in stone, becoming a founder member of the Scottish Lettercutters Association. In 2013, she completed a 3 year full time painting course at the Leith School of Art, followed by a part time one year printmaking course.
Jane was delighted to be asked to contribute a piece for this exhibition as she is a huge fan of wild swimming and, being an aquarian, loves being in and around water.
