Free form calligraphy workshop at the Geffrye Museum of the Home, London


Presented as part of our London Craft Week programme at the Geffrye Museum of the Home. A fun afternoon exploring the various ways letters can be made with flexible 'pointed pen' nibs and the broad-edged calligraphy pen, led by Lettering Arts Trust artist Mark Brooks. The workshop will analyse historic hand-written letterforms and apply these principles to a modern day aesthetic, experimenting with expressive, less structured forms and also giving your own handwriting a new dynamic quality.
