Inscribed: The Craft of Cutting Letters – building and exhibition tour

Celebrate the craft of letter cutting and discover the people behind the UK’s most exquisite jewellery and contemporary silverware with a behind-the-scenes tour of the Goldsmiths’ Centre and curator’s introduction to the exhibition.

The tour will start with a curator talk about the exhibition – 'Inscribed'. Celebrating the craft of letter cutting with The Hand Engravers Association and The Lettering Arts Trust; it presents a wide selection of artists’ work, alongside loans from the Goldsmiths’ Company and other Collections, to provide a unique insight into the processes used by contemporary craftspeople to design, craft and carve text.    
 
Gain unique access to this hidden trade by visiting the workshops where young people and apprentices are trained; as well as the creative studios of jewellers, silversmiths and those working in the allied industries practising their craft.
