St Peter's Church, Corpusty

About St Peter’s, Corpusty

The Art & Memory Collection at St Peter’s, Corpusty in Norfolk opened in Spring 2022 and is a collaboration with the Norfolk Churches Trust who have restored this decommissioned Church building.

Placed in the churchyard amongst the existing 18th and 19th century headstones are 17 works on a memorial theme, created without client or churchyard restrictions, by some of the UK’s foremost lettering and letter-carving artists. Like the pieces at our other venues, these were originally commissioned for the 1998 ‘Art of Remembering’ exhibition at Blickling Hall, Norfolk and the 2010 ‘Art & Memory in the Churchyard’ exhibition at St Mary’s North Stoke in West Sussex. The venue at Corpusty will become an education centre for Memorial Art, hosting talks and events, lettering demonstrations and workshops.

Opening Times

The church is open Friday & Saturday 10am - 3pm. The churchyard is accessible at all times.
