Maia is the tenth LAT apprentice, and she is in her second year of training. She says:

This is the fourth piece I worked on as part of my LCAT apprenticeship with Charlotte Howarth, carving the ’S’ in stone was the first part of producing this design in a variety of materials.

A Trajan capital ’S’ is at the centre of the design with concentric lines carved with a v-cut around it. The design was drawn digitally and CNC cut into wood. From the wooden version we made embossings and prints.

 All funds raised from the sale of this piece go towards supporting Maia’s second year of apprenticeship.
