Matt says: ‘This project offered my wife Stephanie and I the perfect opportunity for our first-ever collaboration: nature-based illustration, which is one of her passions, with a hand-lettered original poem, which is something I love to do.

We both chose the Adder because it, along with many other animals that are not obviously cute and cuddly looking, is often overlooked within the context of conservation. We wanted to shed a little light on how integral a creature like the Adder is to a place.’
