This exhibition celebrated nature’s vanishing names, reclaimed in new works commissioned as an artistic response to ‘The Lost Words - A Spell Book’ by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris. Carving these words into stone, wood and glass artists create a permanent record of the natural words removed from the Oxford Junior Dictionary. This exhibition is an insurance against the fracturing of a precious connection with the natural world.
